"I have been visiting this fair for many years – the sourcing here is good. The quality of the products on display is better than at other shows. It is also a well organised event, and the environment in terms of the building is excellent. My goal here is to meet with my existing suppliers and see what is new. I've already found many new ideas. My company specialises in products for the disabled, especially the hard of hearing and visually impaired, such as induction loop systems and flashing light systems."
Buyer Mr J. Chris Rohde, Hearing Products International Limited, UK
"This is the fourth time I have attended the Spring Edition. I come to find new suppliers, new ideas and new concepts related to my field of interactive education - products such as interactive whiteboards, projectors and mobile internet devices. I have found several suitable products this time and am in discussions with the suppliers; in fact, I have already signed an agreement with one."
Buyer Mr Dariusz Szumilo, Chief Visionary Officer, Dreamtec, Poland
"This fair is a very useful part of the marketing strategy for our Motevo brand in-dash double-din multimedia navigation system for cars. On the first day, we received an order for 600 sets from a new customer invited to the fair by our Egypt distributor. Motevo's stand has been very busy, with visitors coming from the US, Canada, many from Russia, plus Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, the Middle East, Israel and Egypt, as well as the Chinese mainland. We've been very encouraged to see that the US buyers are returning this year after a quiet 2009 – we've had a lot of enquiries from the US about our new products so people want to buy again now. This is a must-attend event!"
Exhibitor Ms Evon Chow, Director of Marketing, Motevo Mobile Media (HK) Limited, Hong Kong
"We attend this fair every year, mainly because here we can meet all the key buyers in one place. Another interesting point is that we can present our new products and also keep an eye on what is happening in the market. Also, we look for new buyers here as well as meet with most of our existing buyers to help maintain good relationships with them. This week we've noticed a lot more buyers from India and Russia than ever before – these economies are growing and people are serious about buying new products. The organisation of the fair is always good, everything is done well."
Exhibitor Mr Julien Rapine, Export Key Account Manager, Goldtop 2000 Limited, Hong Kong

"The Russian president has implemented a new programme for energy-saving lighting in the country, so I have come to this fair for the first time to search for new suppliers of LED technology. There are many LED products here and I have identified a few suppliers that we will investigate further. I expect to do business as a result of the contacts I've made here. I've had a very good impression of the fair – I've not had any problems at all."
Buyer Mr Alexander Zvyagin, Manager, Vivo Luce, Russia
"Code 3 designs and manufactures lighting products for use in emergency-response vehicles. I've come here to look for suppliers for certain parts, such as scene lights and backup lights, because I feel it's time we do more global sourcing. I've located a number of interesting companies, including those supplying items such as flexible solar modules and LED displays. Another reason for coming to this Hong Kong fair is that the China market presents many growth opportunities for us. The facilities and the organisation at this show are top-notch. The attention to detail is very impressive."
Buyer Mr Dale B. Tompkins, President, Code 3 Inc., US
"We specialise in natural lighting using materials such as driftwood, roots and twigs. We wanted to participate in this fair because Hong Kong is a place where you can meet the whole world. As well as buyers from Europe and the US, we've also met those from markets as diverse as Ecuador, Costa Rica, Surinam, South Korea and Japan. Of course, it is also an opening to the China market. I would say that we will make about 250 new contacts during the fair, and as a result will probably sell around 15 containers of products – and some of this will turn into repeat business. It is profitable for us to exhibit here in Hong Kong. Thanks to the HKTDC's marketing efforts, such as the hotel sponsorship, you know that you will meet the right buyers here."
Exhibitor Mr Martin Filskov Olsen, President, Asian Design House Co., Ltd., Thailand
"We specialise in automotive lighting products. Now that we are in partnership with a Chinese manufacturer and have developed our own brand, called MARK, we want to sell worldwide. We have chosen this fair as our first international exhibition – Hong Kong is one of the world's main business centres and people come here from all around the globe to source. We've met buyers from South America, Africa, Middle East, Western Europe and the US, and we're confident that among them we can find dealers with whom to do business in the future. We've found everything here at the fair to be of a very high level and are very happy."
Exhibitor Mr Anton Pokrepa, International Sales, OOO "Autopartner", Russia

"Denso-Wave is a leading manufacturer of automatic data capture equipment under Denso Corporation, a member of Toyota Group. Our turnover is about 50 billion yen a year. This is my first visit to the Expo. As a conference speaker, I discuss the prospect of business trends in mobile QR codes, which are particularly prevalent in Japan and Korea. Mobile phones can read the codes with their camera for different functions such as tracking, food information and airline check-in. The Expo is very lively and I can see so many different exhibitors under one roof. Everything has been well managed to help visitors."
Buyer Mr Akira Shibata, Chief Engineer, Engineering Planning Department, Automatic Data Capture Division, Denso Wave Incorporated, Japan
"This is my first-time experience at the Expo. I am impressed with the quality of service and excellent exhibition facilities. Established in 1992, Rissa is engaged in the manufacturing of telecommunications equipment for sale in Russia. We have been buying electronic components from Chinese suppliers for years. At the Expo, I've met some suppliers and learned about the latest technology trends in the market. Everything is really good and well organised. I will recommend the fair to my business partners and will come again next year."
Buyer Mr Evgeniy Yanchuk, President, Rissa, Russia
"The Expo is a good meeting place for the industry. We are here introducing our new innovation and technology achievements every year, and it provides an opportunity for fruitful exchanges with different industry players. Among our highlights this year is the Hand-in-Hand: Feel Your Touch Over Internet solution that enables the delivery of motion and haptic feeling of human hands to remote users. The innovative Assistive Communication Brain-Computer Interface for Traditional Chinese Input is designed to help people in need to communicate through a computer by measuring a user's brain waves. The Expo is one of the major annual events for us."
Exhibitor Mr K.Y. Leung, Associate Director, Centre for Innovation and Technology, Faculty of Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
"The International ICT Expo really helps Hong Kong Software Industry Association (HMSiCA) to raise its profile. We have received a number of enquiries from visitors and the response has been better than expectation. This year, we highlight the success of nine Hong Kong companies at the China Outstanding Software Product Awards 2009 (Hong Kong Section) through HMSiCA and an award presentation ceremony was held during the Expo. Seven of the award-winning companies are also exhibiting with us here. The awards can help these companies gain better access to the mainland market and their products are included in the official recommended Software Products Procurement List for mainland authorities and state-owned enterprises. The fair also enables us to promote the association's 2010 initiatives more effectively."
Exhibitor Ms Eleanor Ng, Program Manager, Hong Kong Software Industry Association, Hong Kong
