With the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) getting off to a successful start, there was good reasons to celebrate at the networking reception on 13 Apr. After a busy day of business, VIP buyers, industry players and international media were ready to relax.
Held at the Small-Order Zone (Expo Drive Entrance), the party was extremely well attended. Following the toast, guests were entertained with cool, jazzy music, while enjoying drinks and snacks – as well as getting the chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. |

 “Allo owns 800 shops in Ukraine selling all kinds of telecom products such as smartphones and related accessories and an online store offering electronic products and home appliances. We buy electronics and telecom products from famous brands and from distributors in Ukraine. As Allo will launch its own brand in June this year, I want to source directly from the Chinese mainland. That’s why I have come to the fair for the first time to look for mobile accessories, gadgets, smart bracelets and smart watches especially for the new brand. I have found more than 10 potential suppliers from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. I’ll ask for their quotations and visit their factories after the fair. I am planning to visit the Hong Kong Electronics Fair in October.”

It is my first time visiting the Hong Kong Electronics Fair. I am looking for new products and electronic accessories such as earphones and HDMI cables. Brazilian consumers are willing to pay more for branded products which come with nice designs and good quality. I am particularly interested in the Hall of Fame that offers branded products and stylish designs. But for electronic products without bearing famous brands, consumers prefer good quality and cheaper prices. The Hong Kong fair is very well-organised. I hope to see even more new designs and varieties at this fair.”

We have joined the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) this year for the first time to promote our 3D printers to international buyers because it is a big and popular electronics fair. We are showcasing three different models of 3D printers at the fair. We have met with potential buyers from the Chinese mainland, Europe and the US who are astonished to see that Korean company can produce quality 3D printers.  In 2012 the Government of the HKSAR set up a 1 billion dedicated fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD). The project "Synergising Hong Kong ICT Hub with Mainland Businesses" is financed by this fund and led by the Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association (HKISPA).
